A few words about me... I was born and raised in communist Romania, obtained an MA from the University of Bucharest and immigrated to United States. For the next 30 years I worked mostly for Public Television; first in Boston at WGBH and then in Lincoln, NE at NETV. In my 25 years association with Nebraska Public Television, I edited some of their most prestigious national programs, including three episodes of American Experience (“In The White Man's Way”, “72 Days Around The World”, “Monkey Trial”), as well as “Oregon Trail”, “Profit The Earth” and many others. Throughout my career I received numerous awards including the Cine Golden Eagle in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1997, the Gabriel Award in 1987, 1991, 1993, the Tuck Media Award, 1978, the Golden Hugo Award, 1987. In 2003 I received a Peabody Award for “Monkey Trial”. I am cultured, savvy, worldly, patient, methodical, well organized, with a great sense of humor and pleasant to work with. I am in constant wonder about life and people and make instant friends forever. I will provide you with innovative, creative ideas at every step in the editing process. I am also passionate about my work and very opinionated but I am always ready to accept other people ideas. I am looking for new opportunities and challenges. I worked in film and television production for over 30 years. Presently I am an offline Avid Editor and Director. I work with Avid Media Composer (since 1996) and Avid Xpress Pro (since 2000).
